Rossland Radio had a Logo Design Contest reaching out to the digital media sector in the Kootenays. Rossland Radio and KAST would like to thank all the designers who submitted entries, the response and talent was very impressive!

The winning logo design was created by David Livingstone who is the sole proprietor of Empire New Media, a company that specializes in graphic design and creating media-rich web experiences.

David grew up in Montreal, but moved to Rossland originally in 1996. The reason was primarily for his love of skiing but he also chose to live here for the lifestyle, enjoying the small-town experience, and not wanting the hub-bub of the larger resorts.

David is committed to doing what he can to make Rossland a great place to live, and so helped found the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture, of which he is now the president. He is also the publisher of the Rossland Telegraph, Rossland's online newspaper.

Rossland Radio would like to thank David for his contribution to community radio - the logo is amazing the new website looks great. David is now our first Lifetime Cooperative Member, one of the prizes of our contest.
