Live at the Red Room, presented by Rossland Radio Co-op

Due to the hard work of our volunteers, Rossland Radio has recieved a grant from Columbia Basin Trust (CBT) and the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance (CKCA).

This funding gives us the support to produce a very exciting live music series. Each saturday, for the next six weeks a local musician/band will be performing at the Red Room on Columbia. Each artist will be interviewed and the show will be recorded to produce a half an hour feature show for each musician or band.

This is a very exciting project that benefits local musicians, giving them a chance to record their material as well as giving much needed promotion to Rossland Radio.

The first band featured in the Live Music Series will be Rossland`s own `The White Crows of the New Apostolic Church` this coming Saturday (6th of Feb) from 8pm at the Red Room. Come out and support your local Radio Station aswell as one of Rossland`s most endearing bands. Entry is free.

The White Crows of The New Apostolic Church have been together for a couple of years now and are constantly tightening up their blend of mountain folk and roots rock. Playing all original tunes flavored with skiing and climbing references, this five piece definitely represents the Kootenays well. They've recently played the Blizzard Music Festival, appeared on another local media program 'Made In The Kootenays' http://www.kbsradio.ca/shows/861336 and are starting work on a five song EP that should be coming out by the end of the winter.

Cheers
