Four the past four saturdays, The Red Room has played host to some of the Rossland's local music talent in the Live Music Series, presented by Rossland Radio. Recordings and interviews from the artists are then being broadcast on Rossland Radio (101.1FM in Rossland or online). Thank you to Columbia Basin Trust and the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance for funding this great initiative as well as the Rossland Arts Council for their support.

I am have been very proud to be involved in this project, which has seen some unforgettable perfromances from Rossland's best musicians including Bradley Mackay, and last week Amy Cunningham and Li Li Maurer.

The technical expertise of Tim Lapointe of the Red Room has enabled us to get some awesome recordings of these artists which will be featured in programs which will be aired on Rossland Radio, beggining next week. Tim's generous offer of adding 10% of the gross taking from each saturday night to the performers has been pivotal in nabbing the best talent in the area.

We have been able to get some excellent pomotional coverage through the Trail Rossland News (Trevor Kehoe) and a weekly piece (including a video perfromance) by Rossland Radio programmer Liz Arnasan for the Rossland Telegraph (available online).

This weeks show (Sat 6th March, 8pm) sees born and bred local Tom Bouchier at the Red Room. Liz's article can be accessed from the following link;
