So here we are in beautiful Fernie BC!
I dont think we (MCR & Tomtanium) could have came on a better date. Sixty eight cennys in 48 hours as of eight this morning! In fact it snowed all day, and its still dumping.
We drove through a storm last night and and braved the pass but made it safely to Cranbrook where we spent the night. Then this morning we trooped to Fernie, and hit the slopes for most of the day, shralping freshies galore!
We checked in to the Alpine Lodge after the hill, and oh how sweet it is. I want to compare it to that of a fancy hostel, where everyone gets their own private room but then share a spacious timber framed main hall. Complete with a kitchen fit for my brother (John Premier, Head Chef Snowwater Heli Skiing Lodge), sauna, hot tub, drying room and multiple decks with views.
And then there is the hosts. Cam Carr and his wife Michiyo, with help from their two young children, own and operate Fernie Alpine Lodge. This includes mingling with guest year round because they live here year round. They also have a Sushi joint in town called, Yamagoya, which we will be checking out before we leave most definitely !
Stay tuned for an update from tomorrows adventures!!!!!!!

Thats right ladies and gents, DJ Tomtanium and sometimes co-host MCR are heading out of the West Koots to the East Koots, to Fernie BC!!! A quick trip to see what the mountain resort and community of Fernie has to offer compared to our beloved Red Mountain and Rossland.
We'll be taking in the sights, eats, places to bunk and of course the shredding! We'll be filling you in on the March 4th edition of Rossland on the Rocks so make sure to tune in!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peace, Love and Respect,
Tomtanium
Fun show once we got things figured out. The transmitter was unplugged for some strange reason so after 15 minutes of talking to myself we were on AIR!
Co-host MCR was in the studio, playing beats and laughing out loud. All in all a fun night, Zarto rocked it too, which we stuck around for Prime TIme. Dusty and Heather also graced us with their presence, so you know it was a good time!
Next week i'll be rocking some classic 90's rap, as per usual, and a few extra beat slices. Respect.
Tomtanium.
March 5th, 2010 was an in your face type of "Rossland on the Rocks". Tomtanium tackled some hard hitting issues which in some way or another effect everyone in the West Koots.
Special guest Gizelle Keenan made this an evening of insight into Kootenay Regional District Hospitals proposed cuts to the nursing staff and OR surgery rooms. Gizelle Keenan is a nurse from KBRH and broke it down for us on what is happening, why its happening and how she feels about it. Gizelle has been featured on Global news, in Trail Rossland Times and on Monday morning with Anna-Maria Tremonte on CBC Radios' 'The Current'.
Also, Mike Webber from Fort Mac was in the studio talking about the machine that is Fort Mac. He talks life and infrastructure of the oil town.
....And with a bang on selection of music, this all combined into one big juicy Rossland Radio exclusive!
Cheers for now, Tomtanium
